The Message & Mandate; A Clarion call to service
Introduction to Beyond Achievers’ Ministry
Matthew 6 (King James Version)
9 ‘…Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For this reason, In December 2011, while plans were on the way for our home church’s (RCCG, Victory Assembly Sheffield) Acts of Achievers Annual Women’s Conference 2012 (Now called ‘Beyond Achievers Conference; BAC) For which I (Eunice Meque Bako) thought to have heard and received a nice piece of theme ‘ be an oasis of love’, and was all excited about it, and was heading to discuss with Pastor Musa Bako my husband, the theme for the year, but I was redirected by God with this strong message, ‘Preserve These Things’ (Matthew 5:13-16) which eventually became the theme of the conference that year 2012, and much more. Then the Holy Spirit began to list some related key issues. God showed me in a trance, a picture of a lost generation, 10 to 20 years and more from the Now (meaning 2010); especially children of the household of believers, some falling away from the faith. There is an immediate and a ‘now’ urgent need for believers to raise the standards of God as the standards of evil, wickedness and unrighteousness are being raised.
there has not been a more desperate season than these, were the inhabitants of the earth need Heaven’s intervention. a time like these, when God is seeking to get the attention of the church that God hath redeemed with an invaluable price; the blood of Jesus. These are mostly challenging times, the church of God in the middle of an eventful and changing world. The world is fast changing, and so are the people and the trends, everyone seeks his own thing, hence the reason for the cross, ‘ all we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way…’ The Job was accomplished, our redemption bought, and indeed, we were bought with a price, new and perfect ways of kingdom operation set. But are set standards not being watered down, boundaries removed, with no regards for the yardstick; the word of God, We must preserve these things.
Proverbs 22:28(KJV)
‘Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set’.
Today God is seeking for agents of change to filter through the earth, for these very assignment, to preserve.
Isaiah 42:22-23(KJV)
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
Life is continuously lived one generation to another, across generations, and the race in life as in a baton race, one runs his turn with intention to hand the baton to another, each person runs differently. Some fall off the way without successors, others procrastinate, get distracted, or are and nonchalant and indifferent about passing on any virtue on, Some run and don’t even get to the next succeeding runner with a baton in their hand. The fact is this, the next generation Waits to be handed a baton, They are unavoidably and compulsorily the next runner and will pass virtue or doom on to the next, if christ tarries. Whether a proper handover or not, some kind of virtue is passed, One generation to another, and across generations. They like sponges will absorb anything thrown at them. May it be godly in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let us run with an intention to leave a mark behind, to make heaven, and take as many people with us. Let God’s culture be seen through generations because you lived the life. The dangers of running unambiguously without a sense of purpose are undoubtedly profound, and they sum up with consequences as the race continues, whether positively or negatively.
Everyone is created by God with an assignment for this generation and ones to come. Let us there be no straying away, even for the thought of the worthy and purposeful sacrifice.
Isaiah 53:5-6(KJV)
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Believers, let us be encouraged to strive to run a winner’s race; hold on, and run swiftly with every efficiency, diligence, effort and caution, pass it on effectively to a prepared potential winner who will repeat the process. As Such it is important to have an understanding of the times and season, understand Gods heart beat, focus and race. For we can look up to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith …
These important questions then arise. Where are the Godly batons that where handed over to this generation, what happened to the experience of salvation? What about our baptism. What happened to christians as generations past on, one to another? Godly Values and standards have been watered down to worldliness, carnality, nonchalance, disobedience and insubordination to the word of God and His Instructions.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (KJV)
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.? So run, that ye may obtain.
#There is absolutely nothing that that world has that the church needs, there is everything that the church has or suppose to have, that the world needs.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in it. 8. 1 John 2:15. when we say ‘world’, we are talking about the world system that permeates the entirety of this earth. The system that governs this world. Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and the God of this present earth.
Ephesians 2:2 (King James Version)
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Don’t forget this…
John 12:31 (KJV)
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
John 16:11 (KJV)
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Colossians 1:15-18 (KJV)
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Colossians 1:10-14 (KJV)
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 2:10 (KJV)
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Believers are called to show forth His praise and glory. For these reason is why we don’t believe in isolation but in separation, 10. ‘come out from amongst them and be ye separate’……. We are called to be a moral force, and agents of change in our society, knowing that a society is built on righteousness, and righteousness exalts a nation. #We are to come out from amongst them and be separated.#
2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
#who was responsible then, who is now, or who cares to hears the call to be responsible now. What about the generation in view, is there a strong enough legacy being held onto, to be passed to them, for the generation after theirs? A Godly legacy. #Mentoring then becomes key, it is one tool for continuity. Titus 2, Timothy and Paul, Aquila and pricilla, Nehemiah ‘s story. Deborah arose, Joel strategiesed, the women song to encourage..let the spirit of unity, encouragement and strategy flow.
Deuteronomy 4 (KJV)
1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
And as the song writer wrote,
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross, lift up his royal banner, it must not suffer lost. From victory unto victory, His army shall he lead…
You are therefore encouraged to read ‘preserve these things’, as a wake up cry, embrace these truths, give attention to them, ask for grace to become, 11.’for as many as receive him, he gave them power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe in His name’. The dangers of not preserving Godly standards is that many will be casualty, including our children, children’s children and further, if Christ tarries, they will live either lost or found, with direction or misdirected, sadly, it has been heard of descendants of rouged christians and missionaries of the past saying ‘there is no God’, agreeing to multi-faiths, doing abominable things without remorse.
The prodigal son, after realising his foolish take, the bible put it this way,….’when he came to himself…he said, I will arise’ Luke 15: Therefore come to yourself if you haven’
#I pledge allegiance# John 14:15-20
Today and urgently, Someone needs to strategies for the next generations to come. Tools for continuity need to be employed. Creativity be birth on how this can be achieved, whatever the case, God must be exalted.
Mentoring, teaching, illustrations, discipling etc then becomes key, it is a tool
for continuity. Looking forward to operations Titus 2, Aquila and pricilla and Nehemiah, the rise of Deborahs, Jael strategies, more of the women’s song for encouragement. Moses made an effort to pass virtue to Joshua, For Elijah it was a mantle passed to Elisha, Paul in Timothy talks about Timothy’s inheritance from his grandmother, through his mother unto him
Let city and nation takers arise, let the spirit of unity, strategy, a hunger and thirst for righteous flow In the name of Jesus.
‘Stand Up for Jesus’ was the dying message of the Reverend Dudley A. Tyng to the Young Men’s Christian Association…The Sabbath before his death he preached in the immense edifice known as Jaynes’ Hall, one of the most successful sermons of modern times. Of the five thousand men there assembled, at least one thousand, it was believed were ‘the slain of the Lord’…The following Wednesday, leaving his study for a moment, he went to the barn floor, where a mule was at work on a horse-power, shelling corn. Patting him on the neck, the sleeve of his silk study gown caught in the cogs of the wheel, and his arm was torn out the roots! His death occurred in a few hours…The author of the hymn preached from Eph. 6:14, and the…verses were written simply as the concluding exhortation. The superintendent of the Sabbath school had a fly-leaf printed for the children—a stray copy found its way into a Baptist newspaper, from that paper it has gone…all over the world.
George Duffield, Jr.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the solemn watchword hear;
If while ye sleep He suffers, away with shame and fear;
Where’er ye meet with evil, within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles, and put the foe to rout.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day.
Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, each soldier to his post,
Close up the broken column, and shout through all the host:
Make good the loss so heavy, in those that still remain,
And prove to all around you that death itself is gain.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.
